Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Varg Veide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Bane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veide comes to the cage accompanied by Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business. Varg Veide has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucas Bane!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veide throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A swing and a miss from Bane.
Veide throws a quick counter head kick but Bane was just out of range.
Veide takes a swing at Bane's ribcage but misses.
Bane tries a quick counter leg kick but Veide is wise to it.
Veide misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Veide drives through and clinches with Bane against the cage.
Bane blocks an elbow strike.
Bane drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bane has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Veide after a bit of a struggle.

Veide is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Varg Veide has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Bane.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bane has hold of one of Veide's legs. Veide is fighting the takedown attempt but Bane gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Veide avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bane wants to pass the guard but Veide is keeping the position.
Bane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Veide has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bane postures up in Veide's guard and throws a big left but Veide blocks it.
Bane in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bane pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Veide is keeping the position for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Veide slaps away a takedown attempt from Bane, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bane throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Bane tries a low kick but Veide avoids it.
Bane works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nice body punch from Veide.
Good leg kick by Veide there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bane throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bane lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Veide looks for the body kick but Bane saw that one coming.
Veide cracks Bane with an open hand slap.
Bane swings for the body but Veide moves out of range.
Bane looks to score with a jab to the body but Veide is just out of range.
Bane misses with a body shot.
Bane tries to clinch up but Veide circles away and keeps his distance.
Oooooh!!! Veide has knocked Bane down with a huge combo! Veide steps away and waves a wobbly Bane back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Lucas Bane has been cut.
Bane blocks a jab.
Bane ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Despite the aggression on Bane's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Veide feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bane sprawling to the canvas! Bane rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Veide finish him?!
Bane is rocked!
Bane looks to land a combination but Veide avoids it well.
Bane is still on wobbly legs! Can Veide finish him?
Veide works Bane's body with a nice hook.
Bane misses the shot to the body.
Bane seems to have recovered his senses.
Bane misses with the combination.
Veide moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Veide throws a hook but Bane blocks it.
Veide misses with a right hand
and Bane counters with a nice leg kick.
Veide takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Veide ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bane moves away.
Bane goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Bane wants to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Veide on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Veide avoids the head kick by Bane.
A bone on bone clash there as Veide blocks the leg kick.
Bane avoids the body shot from Veide.
Bane is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Veide with a body shot.
Bane wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fighters circling - Veide throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Veide blocks a leg kick.
Veide throws the kick towards the body but Bane avoids it.
Bane throws a head kick but Veide moves out of range.
Veide misses with an uppercut.
Veide slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bane throws a sloppy head kick and Veide moves out of range easily.

Bane throws an overhand right that lands on Veide's shoulder, as Veide tries to avoid the shot.
Bane slips a jab and a cross from Veide.
Good work by Veide as he checks the leg kick.
Bane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Veide manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Varg Veide dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lucas Bane's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bane bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Veide's head backwards.
Bane checks a leg kick.
Varg Veide is winning the standup battle so far.
Veide scores with a jab to the head.
Bane wants to land a leg kick but Veide is out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bane, as that shot connected.
Veide closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Veide's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Veide struggles to land a body shot inside as Bane controls his hands.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Veide is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bane is defending well for now.

Veide is pressed up against the cage. Bane has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Veide down to the mat. Veide avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Bane ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bane scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Veide swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Veide has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bane.
Veide misses with a head kick.
Veide lands a leg kick that knocks Bane off balance momentarily.
Bane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Veide.
A thudding body kick lands there by Veide!
Veide turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Veide fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bane wants to land a leg kick but Veide is out of range.

Veide lands a right hook to the body.
Bane is breathing heavily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Veide moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Veide here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Bane takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bane is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Veide rather than just go for the knockout.
Veide lands with a good body shot.
Veide swings for the body but Bane moves out of range.
A nice side step and Bane releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Veide is looking to slow Bane down with leg kicks.
Veide looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Veide drops Bane with a beautiful combination! Bane stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Veide is looking for the KO!
Veide uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bane.
Bane with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Veide fakes the body blow, causing Bane to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Bane goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Varg Veide!
A relieved looking Varg Veide thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
