PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Khal Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teste Teste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drogo comes into the arena with Blessings - Big Sean FT Drake and Kanye West blaring out of the sound system. Teste Teste told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teste tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Drogo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A big left from Teste misses.
Teste is looking to clinch but Drogo is avoiding it.

and Drogo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Teste won't be happy with that.
Teste parries the strikes from Drogo easily there. Drogo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Teste to escape.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teste takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Drogo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Drogo throws an elbow but Teste slips to the side and avoids it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Drogo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Teste manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Teste is looking to stall here but Drogo recovers full guard.
Drogo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Teste's guard.

Drogo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Teste for as long as he can get away with.

Teste connects with a body shot that sends Drogo's belly button to the back.

and Drogo counters with a single leg into guard. Teste didn't expect that.

Drogo throws a quick counter head kick but Teste was just out of range.

Drogo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Teste drops Drogo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Drogo looks back up at him and smiles so Teste waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Teste tries to clinch there but Drogo circles away.
Drogo attempts a counter takedown but Teste avoids it well and moves away.
Oh Drogo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Drogo moves away from the strike by Teste.
Drogo appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Drogo seems to have got his legs back now.
Drogo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Drogo is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Teste.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Teste looks to land a combination but Drogo avoids it well.
Teste scores with the left hand. Drogo knows he should have avoided that one.
Drogo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Teste drops Drogo with a naaaaasty hook - Drogo is in real trouble here! Teste dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
