The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Yilmaz tries a head kick but it misses.
Yilmaz darts in trying to clinch

and Buennaventura counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buennaventura lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Yilmaz wants to get back to his feet but Buennaventura is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yilmaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Buennaventura is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Yilmaz manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Buennaventura seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
