The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gainer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Gainer finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Diaz has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Gainer is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Diaz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Diaz breaks the clinch.

Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into Gainer's guard.

Gainer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Diaz off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gainer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Diaz gets a takedown into half guard.

Diaz has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gainer defend it? Diaz steps over the head and cranks it - Gainer is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Diaz!
