The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forsythe throws out a loose jab but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it.
As Forsythe backs off Gracie throws a huge counter combo but Forsythe manages to avoid it all.
Forsythe cracks Gracie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Gracie rushes Forsythe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Forsythe throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Forsythe lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.

Gracie can't get the takedown.
Gracie goes for a takedown in the clinch but Forsythe prevents it.

Forsythe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
