Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cerrone Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Haitu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haitu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clark moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Haitu pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Clark back to the ropes. Haitu follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Haitu avoids the head kick by Clark.

Haitu moves into range and clinches up with Clark.

Haitu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clark shoots in looking for a takedown but Haitu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Clark's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Haitu connects with a single shot there.
Horrible takedown attempt by Clark or perhaps it was just good defense by Haitu, which made it look bad.
Haitu digs a good body shot into Clark's ribs.
Clark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Haitu moves away.
Haitu's coach down at Cozad MMA Hilo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haitu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Clark tries for a takedown but Haitu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cerrone Clark. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Haitu bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Clark's head backwards.

Clark is trying to pull guard but Haitu has him pressed against the ropes.

Haitu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Haitu cracks Clark with a right hand to the side of the head.

Clark misses with the combination.

Haitu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Haitu lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Clark shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Haitu as he avoids it easily.
Haitu's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Haitu duly obliges.
Clark is breathing heavily.
Clark tries a head kick but it misses.
Haitu appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A lazy left from Haitu finds it's target.

Clark dives in and scores a takedown into Haitu's guard.

Haitu is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clark shoots in but Haitu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Haitu jabs Clark to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Haitu is working the combinations to good effect here.
Nice straight punches there by Haitu. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Haitu.

Haitu looks to land a combination. Clark sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Clark is rocked!
Haitu throws a combination. Clark tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Oh Clark is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Haitu connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Clark tumbling to the canvas! Haitu pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Clark was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Roger Haitu!
Roger Haitu was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
