PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Guappo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Iki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iki gets a double leg takedown into Guappo's guard.
Guappo tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Guappo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Iki works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Guappo is controlling Iki's trapped leg to prevent Iki from advancing to side control.
Guappo is trying to get back to full guard.
Guappo won't allow Iki to pass to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guappo is looking to control Iki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Guappo avoid being mounted?

Iki content to control rather than advance.
It looks like Iki might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Guappo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Iki is working away from the top position though.
Iki is controlling the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Guappo gets the takedown into side control.
Iki tries to buck Guappo off but Guappo is having none of it.
Iki is still trying to improve position.

Guappo has an Americana. Iki didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Guappo is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Guappo hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
