Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Lewsk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Singer!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Lewsk.
Lewsk looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Singer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Singer connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd cheers as Singer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lewsk doesn't seem phased though.
Singer scores with a hook.
Singer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lewsk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Singer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lewsk moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.


Lewsk is rocked!
A head kick misses from Singer.
Lewsk seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Oh Lewsk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Singer just misses with a punch to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lewsk checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lewsk seems to have got his legs back now.
Lewsk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Singer lands a jab.
Lewsk moves out of range as Singer throws a body kick.
Lewsk tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A solid leg kick lands there for Singer.
Singer scores with a jab.
Lewsk throws a body punch but Singer moves out of range.
Lewsk on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Singer throws a body punch but Lewsk moves out of range.
Lewsk stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Singer.
Singer throws a head kick but Lewsk moves out of range.
Singer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lewsk has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lewsk there as he acknowledges the shot.
Singer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Singer thuds his right hand into Lewsk's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lewsk takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lewsk gets the takedown into side control.
Singer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lewsk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Singer gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Singer is trying to get back to full guard.

Singer looking for submissions off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lewsk is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Singer has managed to free his arm - good work.
Singer trying to control from the bottom.
Singer gets back to full guard.

Singer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lewsk is fighting to break Singer's control of his arms but Singer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Singer working a defensive guard here.

Singer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lewsk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lewsk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Singer pushes a forearm under Lewsk's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Lewsk is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
