Shelby has chosen Red Right Hand as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Finley Shelby is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mormeck displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shelby throws out the jab.
Mormeck feinted with a counter takedown.
Mormeck ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mormeck throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mormeck lands a nice shot that snaps Shelby's head back.

Shelby looks to score with a jab to the body but Mormeck is just out of range.
Mormeck throws a right hand that Shelby ducks under and follows up with a left that Shelby also avoids with ease.

Mormeck shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shelby napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Shelby tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Shelby takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
