Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mick Clarke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliot rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clarke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Elliot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Elliot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Elliot clinches.
Clarke stalls.
Elliot trying to stall but Clarke improves his position.
Elliot misses with a knee strike.
Clarke on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Clarke is struggling to control the position.
Elliot looking to throw knees to the head but Clarke is blocking nicely.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Elliot just misses with a elbow thrown towards Clarke's brow.

Clarke has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Elliot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Elliot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clarke on the ground.

Clarke is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Clarke is trying to control the action in half guard but Elliot is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Elliot is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Clarke scores with a couple of nice shots.

Elliot on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Elliot tries to get out of the position.

Clarke is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Elliot is surviving well by controlling Clarke's body position as best he can.
Elliot is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Clarke has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Clarke cracks Elliot with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Elliot gets caught flat footed, as Clarke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Elliot is looking to stand up but Clarke isn't so interested in that idea.
Clarke makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Elliot is pressed up against the ropes. Clarke has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Elliot down to the mat. Elliot avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Clarke lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Elliot down.

and Clarke counters with a shoot takedown. Elliot fights it but they end up in guard.

Clarke is nestled in close to Elliot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Elliot lands with a kick to the temple. Clarke shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Clarke counters with a shoot takedown. Elliot fights it but they end up in guard.
