Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rolland Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Will Wilson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ward tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ward manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Ward looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilson is one step ahead there.
Ward is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ward throwing shots but Wilson is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilson is looking to control Ward's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilson avoid being mounted?

Ward stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
