The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Latvala misses with a double jab.
Psie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Latvala clobbers Psie with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Latvala misses with an uppercut
and Psie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Psie throws out a powerful jab.
Latvala pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Psie cracks Latvala with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Latvala throws a jab but it's blocked by Psie.

Psie cracks Latvala with an uppercut from hell and Latvala crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Psie's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

It looks like Jaani Latvala has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Latvala is looking to sweep but instead, Psie has passed into half guard.
Psie prevents Latvala from improving his position.
Psie is trying to control. Latvala wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Psie is pressing down on Latvala's thigh, looking to free his foot. Latvala is holding on for now.
Psie wants to stand but Latvala has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Latvala knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Psie on the ground.
Psie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Psie seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Latvala is not content to let Psie control the position.

Psie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Latvala is just riding it out for now. Psie eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Latvala tries to roll over but Psie keeps him under control.
Psie is trying to control the action in half guard but Latvala is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Psie cracks a nice hook into Latvala's ribs.

and Latvala takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Latvala throws a lazy uppercut
and Psie counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Latvala is breathing heavily.
Latvala tries to bum rush Psie with a series of wild strikes but Psie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Latvala digs a good body shot into Psie's ribs.

Psie lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Latvala sprawling to the canvas. Psie follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Latvala hang on?

Psie thows a huge punch but Latvala dodges it nicely.
Oh Latvala is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Psie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Latvala defends it well.
