Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roy Hendrix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks pushes Hendrix up against the cage in a clinch.
Hendrix throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Brooks blocks it with crossed arms.
Brooks tries to land knees in the clinch but Hendrix avoids the damage to the body.
Brooks has Hendrix pushed against the cage.
Hendrix goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brooks prevents it.
Brooks slows down the pace here.
Hendrix tries to break free but Brooks pushes him back against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hendrix is trying to drag Brooks to the mat but Brooks just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Brooks lands with a kick to the temple. Hendrix shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brooks pushes Hendrix off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

As Hendrix backs off Brooks throws a huge counter combo but Hendrix manages to avoid it all.

Hendrix has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brooks avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Brooks throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Brooks manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aaron Brooks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brooks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
