Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Venturia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donkey Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Venturia might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise. Kong has chosen Awesome Donkey Kong as his entrance music. Donkey Kong will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venturia keeps the fight on the outside.
Venturia takes the fight into the clinch.
Kong wants a takedown.
Venturia stops a takedown attempt from Kong.

Venturia connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Kong to the floor! Venturia dives in looking for the finish!
It looks like Donkey Kong has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Venturia tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kong controls his leg.
Venturia stands up and beckons Kong to join him on the feet.

I was talking to Venturia's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

and Venturia counters with a low kick, right behind Kong 's knee.

Venturia lands a high kick to the side of Kong's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Venturia dives into guard, looking to finish.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Venturia stands and steps away. Kong gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Kong seems to have recovered his senses.
Venturia darts in and clinches Kong up against the cage.

Jesse Venturia spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Donkey Kong spoke after the fight, saying 'I will be back.'.
