PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vincenzo Langley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yannick Abdoul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vincenzo Langley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yannick Abdoul!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Abdoul.
Abdoul misses the jab.
Langley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Abdoul throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Abdoul punishes Langley's body with a nice straight punch.
Abdoul is looking to clinch but Langley is avoiding it.

Langley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Abdoul to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Langley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Langley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Abdoul chips away with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Langley is working an open guard so Abdoul takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Abdoul feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Langley throws his legs up looking for a submission but Abdoul uses it to pass to side control.

Abdoul decides to stand back up. Abdoul steps back and let's Langley get back to his feet.

Abdoul moves into the clinch.
Abdoul wants to get back to striking at distance but Langley won't allow it.

Abdoul has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Langley regains guard immediately.

Langley manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abdoul prevents the takedown attempt.
Langley drops down looking for an ankle pick but Abdoul pulls his leg out and moves away.
Abdoul misses with a left hand
and Langley counters with a left to the body.
Langley fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincenzo Langley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Langley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Abdoul moves in looking to clinch but Langley pushes him off.
Abdoul swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Langley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abdoul thinking.
Horrible takedown attempt by Langley or perhaps it was just good defense by Abdoul, which made it look bad.
Langley is breathing heavily.
Langley on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Abdoul cracks Langley with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Langley is rocked!

Are you kidding me?! Abdoul ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Langley clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
