The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ardir throws a head kick that half lands.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Prince.
Ardir pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Prince quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Prince shoots in for a double leg but Ardir sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ardir misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ardir throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Prince was covering up waiting for the punch and Ardir finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ardir wants to pass the guard but Prince is keeping the position.

Prince shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ardir is trying to defend but Prince finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

and Prince counters with a good low kick that Ardir was not able to check.

Ardir wants the takedown. Prince is fighting it off but Ardir persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Prince's guard against the cage.

Ardir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Prince swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Prince really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ardir looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
It looks like Ardir might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Prince is controlling Ardir's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Ardir is figuring out what he wants to do next.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Let's hope that Ardir has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ardir enables Prince to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ardir manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
