Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert McCall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes to the cage accompanied by The Who - Baba O'Riley. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Craig David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert McCall!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCall lands with a good body shot.
McCall misses with a combination
and David counters with a thumping low kick.
McCall just misses with a punch to the body.
David throws a head kick that misses
and McCall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McCall, as that shot connected.
David throws out a loose jab but McCall uses good head movement to avoid it.
McCall displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
A punch combination from David misses.
McCall lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from David, right into the meat.
David pivots, looking for a leg kick but McCall is out of range and David settles back down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
David walks into a stiff left hand from McCall.
A cross from McCall lands.
McCall ducks under a wild hook from David.
McCall jabs David to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McCall drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
David lands a leg kick that knocks McCall off balance momentarily.
David walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McCall checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
David with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McCall to score with a decent uppercut.
Craig David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McCall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by David.
McCall connects with the punch.
David throws a leg kick that is checked
and McCall counters with a stiff right hand.
David throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
David misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
David lands a jab to McCall's midsection.
David connects with a jab.

David gets a clinch.
McCall has David pressed against the cage.
David stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
David trying to control the position but instead, McCall has worked for underhooks and has pushed David into the cage.
David misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McCall.

David has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McCall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

David swings away with a leg kick that misses.
McCall uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
McCall is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! David had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
David fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McCall is out of range.
McCall looks like he wants to counter punch here.

McCall tries a low kick but David avoids it.
McCall scores with the left hand. David knows he should have avoided that one.
McCall scores with a decent looking hook.
McCall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but David moves away.
A solid body kick from David.
David on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
David tries to close the distance and clinch but McCall swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McCall stalks David and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into David's face. David staggers backwards, shaken.
David attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
David dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McCall. That did some damage!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McCall.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCall slips a straight right by David.
David swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Some bone on bone action there as McCall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McCall scores with a sloppy right hand. David should have avoided that one.
McCall lands a nice shot that snaps David's head back.

That kick from David tenderised McCall's leg. McCall is trying to keep his angry face on.
David tries to score with a low kick but McCall moves his leg out of the way.

David throws a big shot that misses.

McCall throws a nice inside leg kick.
David wants to slow McCall down by chopping away at his legs.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McCall scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
McCall cracks David with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McCall, as that shot connected.
McCall turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert McCall dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


David throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
McCall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McCall checks the leg kick.
McCall swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
David takes a shot to the body in his stride.
David is looking to clinch.
David misses with a jab, cross combination.
David is looking to slow McCall down with leg kicks.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from David lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McCall has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McCall and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
David dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McCall scores with a hook to the body. David takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
David misses with a low kick.
McCall's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Nice straight punches there by McCall. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McCall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
David throws a leg kick
and McCall counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

David looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

McCall connects with a good right hand that stumbles David. David circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
David dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McCall. That did some damage!

Oh David is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

McCall drops David with a straight left! Oh this is bad for David! McCall dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

In his post fight interview, Robert McCall started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
