Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rico Gentry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anders Sjoberg!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gentry takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sjoberg bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gentry's head backwards.
It looks like Rico Gentry has been cut.
Sjoberg throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sjoberg gets a clinch.
Gentry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gentry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sjoberg tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gentry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gentry changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sjoberg tries to avoid it but Gentry manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sjoberg to the ground. Sjoberg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Sjoberg. Those never looked like landing.
A head kick misses from Sjoberg.
Gentry tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sjoberg manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sjoberg is looking for the big counter here.
Gentry dodges the punch combination from Sjoberg.
Sjoberg clinches up with Gentry and pushes him back against the cage.
Sjoberg gets underhooks to prevent Gentry's takedown attempt.
Gentry has Sjoberg pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sjoberg manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rico Gentry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sjoberg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sjoberg throws a right hand that Gentry ducks under and follows up with a left that Gentry also avoids with ease.
Sjoberg tries to clinch there but Gentry circles away.
Sjoberg moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sjoberg fails to land with a series of punches.
Gentry throws a body shot but no joy.
Sjoberg feints a counter leg kick.
Sjoberg lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Gentry goes down and covers up as Sjoberg starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anders Sjoberg!
