Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nicko Shoota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogan Redban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redban lands with a right hand.
Shoota definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Redban drives through and clinches with Shoota against the cage.

Redban is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Shoota can't fight it off and eventually Redban manages to take the fight to the floor. Shoota looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Redban keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shoota's head.
Redban is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Redban works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Shoota has hold of Redban's hands but Redban slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Shoota really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Redban looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Redban works his foot free and advances to mount.

Redban wants to finish this one by submission but Shoota is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Redban.
Shoota is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Redban takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
