The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karate lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Karate scores with a head kick.
Karate has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Freire.
Karate throws a nice head kick!
Karate will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A combination from Freire does no damage.
Karate looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Karate tries a head kick but it misses.
A little feinted left hand from Freire on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Freire throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Freire crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Karate - the referee stops the clock and Freire gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Karate. Freire manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Freire throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Karate counters with a body kick.
Karate tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Karate blocks a head kick by Freire.
Freire misses with a wild combination.
Karate is looking for the big counter here.
Freire swats away the attempt to clinch by Karate.
Karate closes this distance looking for a takedown but Freire circles away.
Freire throws a right and a left that Karate avoids nicely.
Karate lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Freire misses with a head kick.
Karate tries a head kick but it misses.
Freire throws a big counter combination but Karate scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Freire fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Freire is rocked!
Freire wants to stay close but Karate steps back to make room for something. Freire seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Karate and Freire drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
