Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrus Laane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Meek Mill - Lord Knows. Brandon has chosen All Summer Long as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon misses with a low kick as Laane jumps back.
Brandon moves out of range as Laane throws a body kick.
We've been told by Laane's head coaches at Fighting Fitness & Freedom that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Brandon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Laane sprawls well. Laane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brandon gets slowly back to his feet.

Brandon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Laane is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Brandon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Laane is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Laane is not content to let Brandon control the position.

A bit of a lull in the action here.
Brandon lands a decent elbow from side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brandon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Laane defends well and Brandon ends up having to push Laane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Brandon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Laane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brandon somewhat.
As Brandon looks to move away, Laane throws a big counter combo but Brandon just gets out of the way.

Laane throws a body shot but no joy.
Laane throws a push kick but Brandon slaps the foot to one side.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Brandon is looking for the big counter here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Brandon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Laane but Laane pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Laane with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Brandon wants to clinch up but Laane keeps it at a distance.

Brandon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Laane lunges at Brandon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brandon's hand.
Brandon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brandon feints and as Laane raises his hands in defense, Brandon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Laane is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brandon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Buddy Brandon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Laane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Laane wants it to stay on the feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Laane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Andrus Laane decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
