Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stafford Alois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alois wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Alois is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jones throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Alois breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alois throws a good cross that connects.
Alois should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Alois tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.

Alois wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage.

Alois lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Alois with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Alois's head.
Alois misses with a few strikes there.

Alois shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Alois keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alois.
Alois throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Alois pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones decides to stand and escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Stafford Alois will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Alois throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Alois.
Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Alois sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

It looks like Adam Jones has been cut.
Crack! Alois connects with the perfect overhand right and Jones falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Alois!
