PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arnavut Sevket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pyotr Korobeikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pyotr Korobeikin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Arnavut Sevket!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pyotr Korobeikin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korobeikin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A quick step to the side and Sevket tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Korobeikin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sevket momentarily.
Sevket throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've been hearing reports that Sevket has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Korobeikin in particular looking to stall.

Pyotr Korobeikin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Sevket's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Korobeikin seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Sevket's chin but Sevket turns very nicely into Korobeikin's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Sevket.
Arnavut Sevket overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
