PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Tattsyrup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anselmo Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tobias Tattsyrup has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tobias Tattsyrup seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Tobias Tattsyrup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anselmo Harris!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tattsyrup lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Harris circles away quickly and effectively.
Harris wants to counter the offense by Tattsyrup and move into the clinch position.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Harris has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A combination from Tattsyrup does no damage.

Harris gets the takedown into side control.
Tattsyrup is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Harris's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Tattsyrup controlling the position for now.

Harris decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Harris feints and as Tattsyrup raises his hands in defense, Harris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris stays in close to Tattsyrup's body and controls the position.

Harris controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Tattsyrup has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Harris manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tattsyrup on his heels. He'll look to pass Tattsyrup's guard now, I'm sure.

Tattsyrup had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Harris defends it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Harris wants to take a breather but Tattsyrup is having none of it.

Harris pushes Tattsyrup off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Anselmo Harris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Tattsyrup closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Harris quickly recovers to half guard.
Harris keeps control of the position for the meantime.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tobias Tattsyrup.
I think Harris has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
