Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bull Filleve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Santi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filleve fails to land with a series of punches.

Santi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Santi stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Santi wants to clinch up but Filleve keeps it at a distance.
Filleve will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Santi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Filleve is looking to escape.

Santi wants to control the pace but Filleve is squirming around nicely.

Santi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Filleve is now in Santi's guard. A big mistake from Santi there, giving up the dominant position!

Santi has momentary wrist control but Filleve slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Santi manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Santi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Filleve stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Filleve is breathing heavily.

Santi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Filleve gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Santi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Filleve lands a couple of elbows.
Filleve trying to control the position from guard on top but Santi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santi wants to stand but Filleve is controlling the position.
Filleve is pushing down on Santi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Santi is fighting to maintain full guard but Filleve has managed to sneak the leg through.

Santi is looking to control Filleve's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Santi avoid being mounted?

Filleve is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santi is just riding it out for now. Filleve eventually gives up the hold.

Filleve misses with a series of wild punches.
Santi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Filleve swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Santi moves out of range as Filleve strikes.
Filleve throws the left hand but Santi avoids the punch easily.
Filleve throws a right hand that Santi ducks under and follows up with a left that Santi also avoids with ease.
Filleve looks to land a combination but Santi avoids it well.
Filleve fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Santi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Filleve paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Santi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Filleve looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Santi has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Filleve is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Santi yanks on the arm and Filleve is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Santi.
