Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tokugawa Ieyasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monty Konrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tokugawa Ieyasu has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monty Konrad!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ieyasu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ieyasu fails to land with a series of punches.
Konrad shoots in and drives through. Ieyasu sprawls well.
Konrad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ieyasu as he jumps to the side.

Ieyasu rushes Konrad and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Konrad tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ieyasu smiles and moves away.
Tokugawa Ieyasu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Monty Konrad.
Konrad looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ieyasu is fending him off so far but Konrad persists. Nope, Ieyasu circles away and we're back to standing.
Ieyasu connects with a solid leg kick.
No luck for Konrad with that takedown attempt.
Ieyasu scores with a jab. Konrad acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ieyasu lands a right hook to the body.
Konrad looks gassed!
Ieyasu tries to bum rush Konrad with a series of wild strikes but Konrad uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Konrad misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ieyasu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ieyasu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Konrad looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ieyasu has picked Konrad up and slammed him! Konrad can't keep hold of the triangle and Ieyasu manages to pass to side control!
Ieyasu works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
A lull in the action here.
Ieyasu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Konrad is trying to control Ieyasu's posture but Ieyasu avoids it.
Ieyasu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Konrad on the ground.
Ieyasu is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Konrad will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Konrad takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Konrad is looking to regain half guard here but Ieyasu keeps moving and retains side control.
Konrad takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Konrad seems a little lost for a moment, as Ieyasu dominates the positioning.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Konrad is trying to control Ieyasu's posture but Ieyasu avoids it.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tokugawa Ieyasu just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
