Pelikaani jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pelikaani misses with a series of wild punches.
Sowa ducks right into an uppercut from Pelikaani.

Nowa Sowa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pelikaani stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pelikaani sends Sowa crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pelikaani is motioning to the referee to let Sowa up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pelikaani is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Sowa flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Sowa is out cold! Pelikaani holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Huppu Pelikaani!
