Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Mcbride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennedy comes into the arena with Alter Bridge - The Damage Done blaring out of the sound system. Mark Kennedy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jordan Mcbride's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Kennedy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Mcbride!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy avoids the body shot from Mcbride.

Mcbride unleashes a big counter combination but Kennedy bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Kennedy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mcbride as he jumps to the side.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kennedy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kennedy is keen to just control but Mcbride is a slippery customer.

Mcbride is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kennedy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mcbride for as long as he can get away with.

Kennedy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mcbride manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kennedy has Mcbride in his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Kennedy will probably get the nod.

Kennedy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcbride misses with the combination.

Kennedy has closed the distance and engaged Mcbride in a clinch.
Mcbride wants to get back to striking at distance but Kennedy won't allow it.
Mcbride has had enough of the clinch but Kennedy keeps him there for the moment.

Kennedy pushes Mcbride back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Mcbride is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kennedy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mcbride to the mat. Mcbride regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Kennedy is working Mcbride over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kennedy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mcbride seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kennedy throws an elbow but Mcbride slips to the side and avoids it well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kennedy is looking to take a break and control but Mcbride is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kennedy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Mcbride is taking a breather. Kennedy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Mcbride maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kennedy could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mcbride has cracked it and Kennedy is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mcbride!
