Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Underwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamar Lullard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tobias Underwood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamar Lullard!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lullard throws a sloppy head kick and Underwood moves out of range easily.
Lullard uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Underwood has time to react.


It looks like Tobias Underwood has been cut.

Underwood tries to keep at a distance but Lullard has taken the fight into the clinch.
Underwood has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lullard avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Underwood tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lullard just stands there and leans against the cage.
Underwood tries to break free but Lullard pushes him back against the cage.
Underwood unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Lullard turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Underwood really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Underwood is looking to reverse the position.
Underwood regains half guard.
Underwood is staying active underneath Lullard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lullard wants to stand up but Underwood is controlling the position.

Underwood is trying to maintain the position but Lullard is very close to passing his half guard.
Underwood is doing well to control the position and prevent Lullard from advancing to side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Underwood lands a leg kick that knocks Lullard off balance momentarily.

Lullard shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Underwood wants to get back to full guard.

Underwood controlling the position well.
Underwood blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lullard.
Underwood trying to hold on to Lullard's head to control him but Lullard postures up.
Lullard not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Lullard stands up from half guard.

Lullard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Underwood looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lullard decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lullard pushes Underwood away with a front kick.
Underwood is breathing heavily.

Lullard clinches up with Underwood and pushes him back against the cage.

Underwood tries to throw a body punch but Lullard avoids it by throwing Underwood back against the cage.
Underwood keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lullard's efforts to push away.

Lullard jumps guard and drags Underwood to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Underwood trying to control the position from guard on top but Lullard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Underwood has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Lullard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lullard wants to sweep but no luck.
Underwood controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Lullard throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Lullard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Underwood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lullard passes to side control.
You can see the frustration on Underwood's face as Lullard controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Underwood is trying to control Lullard's posture but Lullard avoids it.
Lullard gets to mount! Underwood was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Lullard stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Jamar Lullard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lullard checks a leg kick.
Lullard throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Underwood counters with a body kick.

Lullard scores with a takedown into Underwood's guard.
Lullard makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Underwood will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lullard thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lullard not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Underwood pulls Lullard in close to his closed guard and prevents Lullard from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lullard slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Underwood.

Underwood wants to control but Lullard is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Underwood wants to improve his position but Lullard is controlling well.
Lullard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lullard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Underwood keeps working.
Lullard lands with a punch from half guard.
Underwood is not content to let Lullard control the position.
Underwood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lullard on the ground.
Lullard has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Underwood can't escape the position.
Lullard controlling the pace for now.
Underwood holds on to Lullard as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Underwood tries to lock up and control but Lullard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lullard looking to control but Underwood is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Underwood is just holding on here. Lullard manages to take his back.

Lullard sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Underwood taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jamar Lullard!
Jamar Lullard decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
