Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mason Graham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Harris!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graham looks to land a right hand but Harris moved out of range.
Harris jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Graham scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harris doesn't seem bothered though.
Graham dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Harris attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Harris uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Graham.
Nice sprawl there from Graham as Harris shoots in.
Graham ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris slips under a jab.
Graham stuffs the takedown attempt from Harris. Harris gets slowly back to his feet.
Harris with a poor takedown
and Graham makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mason Graham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Harris.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Graham cracks Harris with a right hand to the side of the head.
Harris connects with a high kick.
Graham looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Harris lunges at Graham with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Graham's hand.

Harris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Harris wants to control from the top but Graham keeps moving.

Harris stands up over Graham, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Graham wants to sweep here but Harris controlling him for the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Graham is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Harris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Harris trying to control but Graham is working from the bottom.
Harris wants to pass the guard but Graham is keeping the position.
Harris makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Harris throws a strike but Graham rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Harris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Graham defends well.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Harris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Graham doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Graham manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harris is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Graham frees his head nicely. Oh but Harris has switched to an armbar! Graham is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
