Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Payton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Excuse Me. Evan Payton acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jordan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jordan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Payton.
Jordan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Payton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jordan throws a sloppy head kick and Payton moves out of range easily.
Jordan throws a hook to the side of Payton's head but Payton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jordan throws a looping overhand right but Payton ducks down to avoid it.

Payton moves into the clinch.
Jordan tries a body shot but Payton blocks it.

Payton stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Jordan fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Payton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jordan defends well.

Payton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jordan manages to get himself to full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Payton's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Payton is fighting to break Jordan's control of his arms but Jordan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Payton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jordan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jordan wants to sweep but no luck.

Jordan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jordan is pulling down on Payton's head. It's preventing any offense from Payton, at least for the moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Payton wants to pass the guard but Jordan is keeping the position.

Jordan is stalking Payton. Payton circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Jordan, and it's lights out! Payton really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
