The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nuordy takes the fight into the clinch.

Jefferson tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Nuordy manages to move to mount!
Nuordy lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

It looks like Hilario Jefferson has been cut.

Nuordy has control of Jefferson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jefferson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jefferson is trying to escape the mount.

Nuordy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jefferson wants to hold on but Nuordy pushes him away.

It looks like Nuordy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Jefferson is bucking up trying to escape but Nuordy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
