The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz gets caught napping as Wozignoj dives in and scores a takedown. Ruiz manages to retain guard.
Ruiz wants to get back to his feet but Wozignoj passes into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ruiz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wozignoj manages to get himself to full guard.
Ruiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wozignoj works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ruiz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wozignoj looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wozignoj looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wozignoj!

Let's hope that Wozignoj has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ground and pound from Wozignoj seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The referee asks Wozignoj politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wozignoj prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wozignoj is nestled in close to Ruiz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

After the fight, Maciek Wozignoj was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
The defeated Oliver Ruiz had this to say: 'I want to wish my opponent all the best from now on, my respect for him only grew tonight. I have much to learn and hopefully still lot of time to do it in this sport. I will be back stronger than ever and get the W next fight.'.
