Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Nutini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fickel Groober (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fickel Groober is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Timmy Nutini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fickel Groober!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nutini fails to land the takedown.

Nutini feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Groober has his feet on Nutini's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Nutini shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nutini was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nutini has his foot on Groober's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Groober works his way back into a safe position though.
Nutini is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Groober is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Groober must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Groober has closed the distance and engaged Nutini in a clinch.
Nutini dodges an elbow strike from Groober.

Groober wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nutini has him pressed against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nutini is working for takedown but Groober is calmly controlling the position for now.
Groober lands a body punch in the clinch.

Groober pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nutini is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nutini shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Groober's guard.
Groober wants to sweep here but Nutini controlling him for the moment.
Nutini stops Groober from standing up.
Nutini wants to control from the top but Groober keeps moving.
Nutini not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nutini is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Nutini drops back, looking for a kneebar! Groober looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Groober looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Groober!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
You can see the frustration on Nutini's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Nutini tries to escape but Groober is in control.
Nutini is looking for a sweep.
Groober wants to control but Nutini is keeping him busy.

Groober decides to stand back up. Groober steps back and let's Nutini get back to his feet.

Nice sprawl there from Nutini as Groober shoots in.
Groober misses with a hook. Nutini ducked under it nicely.

Groober fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nutini manages to avoid it.
Nutini misses with a takedown attempt - Groober sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Groober moves in looking to clinch but Nutini pushes him off.

Nutini drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nutini jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Nutini is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Groober is just riding it out for now. Nutini eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nutini takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Timmy Nutini has been cut.

Groober misses with a kick to the body.
Groober scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Groober fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nutini sprawls well initially but Groober persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Groober wants to get back to his feet.

Nutini is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Groober pulls his head out easily.
Groober is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Nutini makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nutini.
Groober really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nutini. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nutini seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fickel Groober comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Groober has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
