Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Shimabukuro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shimabukuro's entrance music is Warrior. A fine choice. Nelson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't Mean A Thing kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a body shot but no joy.
An attempted straight right counter from Shimabukuro misses the target.
Shimabukuro has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tōshi in the buildup to the fight.
Nelson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nelson swings widly with a right hand
and Shimabukuro counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nelson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shimabukuro.
It looked like Shimabukuro was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Nelson scores with a three punch combo!
Shimabukuro moves out of range as Nelson strikes.
And Shimabukuro counters with a quick kick to the body but Nelson blocks it.
Shimabukuro buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shimabukuro takes one to the chin there.
Nelson cracks Shimabukuro with an open hand slap.
Nelson misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nelson throws an overhand right that lands on Shimabukuro's shoulder, as Shimabukuro tries to avoid the shot.
Nelson blocks a leg kick.
Nelson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

A quick step to the side and Shimabukuro tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nelson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Shimabukuro is rocked!
Shimabukuro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nelson moves away.
Oh Shimabukuro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nelson fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Shimabukuro out cold! Brutal finish!
