Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tito Solano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ernie Mason!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason shoots in but Solano avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tito Solano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Solano throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mason stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mason shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mason looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Solano misses with a few strikes there.
Mason takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Solano fails with the takedown

and Mason counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Solano!

Mason has hold of Solano's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Solano manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Mason is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Solano has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Mason working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Solano looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Mason! Submission of the night perhaps?
