Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Earl Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vitor Nogueira will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen looking to score a takedown here. Nogueira is defending well but Allen drives through and ends up in Nogueira's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nogueira is trying to keep Allen in close.
Nogueira lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Nogueira would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Allen pulls Nogueira in close to prevent any damage.

Allen seems to be looking for submissions.

Allen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nogueira is just riding it out for now. Allen eventually gives up the hold.

Allen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nogueira defends it well.

Nogueira tries to roll over but Allen keeps him under control.

Allen tries to pass to full mount but Nogueira defends it.

Nice takedown defense from Nogueira. No joy for Allen on that attempt.

Nogueira throws a series of punches but Allen moves out of range.

Nogueira closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Allen did well to prevent Nogueira getting side control.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nogueira working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Allen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nogueira's guard.
