The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brindle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mac closes the distance but Brindle moves to the side

so Brindle counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Brindle slips nicely into half guard.
Brindle prevents Mac from standing back up.
Still in half guard, Brindle seems content to control.
Brindle lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brindle perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brindle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brindle seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

It looks like Mystic Mac has been cut.

Brindle wants to finish this one by submission but Mac is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Brindle.

Mac is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mac really wants to buck Brindle off and get back to his feet.
