Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammie Sears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ismlad Hartley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammie Sears!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ismlad Hartley!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sears rushes Hartley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hartley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sears gets caught napping as Hartley dives in and scores a takedown. Sears manages to retain guard.
Sears is wriggling around but Hartley manages to pass to half guard.

Sears is looking for a sweep. Hartley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hartley slows the pace down in half guard.
Sears gets back to full guard.
Hartley preventing the sweep.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sears controls Hartley momentarily but Hartley frees himself.
Hartley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sears escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hartley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sears is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hartley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hartley's back!

Sears looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Hartley is controlling Sears 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hartley can do anything to dispel that myth.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hartley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sears to the ground. Hartley is now in Sears's guard.

Sears pushes Hartley off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Sears looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sears clinches with his opponent.

Hartley pulls guard successfully.
Hartley wants to stand but Sears is controlling the position.
Hartley has a closed guard, preventing Sears from standing up.

Hartley has control of Sears's left arm, preventing Sears from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sears closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hartley jumps guard and drags Sears to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hartley is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sears dives into side control.

Hartley tries to improve position but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sears tries for a kimura but Hartley is defending well.
Sears slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Hartley.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sammie Sears will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Hartley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hartley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Hartley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hartley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sears thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sears tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Sears looking for a guillotine here but Hartley defends easily.
Hartley's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Hartley is pushing down on Sears's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sears is fighting to maintain full guard but Hartley has managed to sneak the leg through.

Hartley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sears is trying to keep an underhook but Hartley manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Sears kicks off Hartley and gets to his feet.

Sears has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sears breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sears gets control of Hartley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sears will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Sears is looking for a triangle but Hartley pushes his legs off easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sammie Sears showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sears has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
