Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kid Crusher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ken Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shamrock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Crusher is looking for a triangle but Shamrock pushes his legs off easily.

Crusher had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shamrock is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Crusher Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shamrock's back instead.
Crusher is breathing heavily.
Shamrock is trying to get back to his feet but Crusher has full control of the position and if anything, Shamrock has just worked his way into a worse spot.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shamrock can do anything to dispel that myth.
You get the feeling that Shamrock really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Crusher has control of Shamrock's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Shamrock regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Shamrock is looking to improve his position but Crusher isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crusher throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Shamrock tries to lock up and control but Crusher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Crusher jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shamrock manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Shamrock is trying to control Crusher's posture but Crusher avoids it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Shamrock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shamrock has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Crusher's face.

Shamrock jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Crusher manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Crusher manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Crusher looks to land a strike but Shamrock avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Shamrock wants to control from the top but Crusher keeps moving.

Crusher looking for a triangle here. Shamrock is fighting it but it looks tight! Crusher pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Shamrock is tapping out - this one is all over!
