Rivers comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Suffa by Hed Pe kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Morrison Erikksen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zeke Rivers!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikksen moves out of range as Rivers strikes.
Rivers misses with a few strikes there.
Rivers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rivers shoots for a double leg takedown but Erikksen sprawls well. He's pushed Rivers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Erikksen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rivers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Erikksen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Erikksen shoots in and drives through. Rivers sprawls well.
Rivers stalks Erikksen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Erikksen's face. Erikksen staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Morrison Erikksen has been cut.
Rivers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rivers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Erikksen. Erikksen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rivers has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rivers throws a sloppy head kick and Erikksen moves out of range easily.

Erikksen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivers's waist but Rivers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Erikksen off to one side.

Erikksen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rivers sprawls well. Rivers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Erikksen gets slowly back to his feet.
Erikksen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rivers connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Erikksen covering up! Rivers comes in with a big uppercut and Erikksen goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
