Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darth Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darth Vader is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Vader is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vader manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Vader's guard.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Vader slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.

Vader must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Vader wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vader is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vader's back instead.
Vader can't escape the position.
Gracie just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vader tries to escape but Gracie has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Gracie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Vader defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Gracie is looking for the choke from the back position but Vader is controlling his hands well.

Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Vader, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Vader against the cage but Vader circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Vader pushes Gracie away with a front kick.
Vader lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Vader throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Vader. No joy for Gracie on that attempt.
Vader shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Helio Gracie will probably get the nod.

Crunch! Vader slams his shin into Gracie's torso.
No joy there for Vader, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Helio Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie scores with a takedown into Vader's guard.
Gracie drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gracie seems to have locked his on tight now - Vader screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gracie, as he picks up the win!
