The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buakaw throws an overhand right that lands on Pain's shoulder, as Pain tries to avoid the shot.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pain has his foot on Buakaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Buakaw works his way back into a safe position though.

Pain swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Buakaw is now in Pain's guard. A big mistake from Pain there, giving up the dominant position!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pain wants to sweep here but Buakaw controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pain cracks Buakaw with an uppercut from hell and Buakaw crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Pain's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
