Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gus Pappas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krause comes to the cage accompanied by Heart of a Champion. Gus Pappas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krause fails with a takedown attempt.
Krause shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pappas as he avoids it easily.
Pappas misses with a double jab.
Krause ducks under a wild hook from Pappas.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pappas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Krause tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pappas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Krause somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Krause. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krause shoots in and drives through. Pappas sprawls well.
Pappas lands a right hook to the body.

Pappas clinches up with Krause and pushes him back against the cage.

Krause tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pappas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Krause somewhat.
Pappas is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Pappas jabs Krause to the body, keeping him at a distance.

It looks like James Krause has been cut.
Pappas lands with a straight right. Krause didn't see that one coming.
Pappas misses with a double jab

and Krause counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pappas won't be happy with that.

Krause goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pappas turns into him and now he's in Krause's guard.

Pappas wanted to stand there but Krause had control of the position.

Pappas is sitting in close to Krause's body. Krause has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pappas is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pappas is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Krause.
