Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Byron Bridges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Julian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ethan Julian!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Julian looking to score a takedown here. Bridges is defending well but Julian drives through and ends up in Bridges's guard.
Bridges can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Julian controls the pace.
Bridges throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bridges holds on and takes a little breather.
Julian in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bridges controls Julian momentarily but Julian frees himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bridges is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Julian perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Bridges is looking for a sweep. Julian is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Julian is pressing down on Bridges's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bridges is holding on for now.

Bridges bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Julian's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ethan Julian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Julian has gone for a leg lock! Bridges slips out almost immediately though and dives into Julian's guard.


Julian is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Bridges has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Julian after a bit of a struggle.

Come on Julian - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Julian has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bridges uses from the top position.

Bridges defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Julian's arms.

Bridges rolls, trying to escape but Julian keeps control of the position.
Julian is trying to stick to Bridges's back but Bridges is turning into Julian. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Julian's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bridges.

Ethan Julian comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Julian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
