Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lazaro Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zach Shaw will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zach Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wheeler as he jumps to the side.

Wheeler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wheeler has his foot on Shaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shaw works his way back into a safe position though.

Shaw content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Wheeler has locked up a guillotine! Wheeler's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Shaw is holding on here and Wheeler must be using up a lot of energy. Shaw has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Wheeler gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
