Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Odell Prince (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phelim Foley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Foggy Dew. Odell Prince has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foley shoots in and bounces Prince off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Foley looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Prince is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prince is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Foley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foley wants to get up but he can't break Prince's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Foley decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Foley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prince.
Prince shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Foley sprawls well. Foley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Prince gets slowly back to his feet.

Foley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from Foley seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Foley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Prince has escaped the position, nice work there.

Prince is looking to regain half guard here but Foley keeps moving and retains side control.

Prince is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Foley gets his way!

Let's hope that Foley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Prince really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Foley seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Foley decides to stand up.

Foley pushes Prince up against the cage in a clinch.
Prince wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Prince shoots in looking for a takedown. Foley tries to sprawl out of it but Prince keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Foley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A nice leg kick lands there from Foley.

Prince gets caught napping as Foley dives in and scores a takedown. Prince manages to retain guard.
Foley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Prince's guard.

It looked like Prince was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Foley looks to score with a jab to the body but Prince is just out of range.

Foley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Prince napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Both fighters take a look at the clock.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Prince working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Foley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Foley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Foley wants to control from the top but Prince keeps moving.
Prince can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Foley controls the pace.
Prince seems keen to control Foley's posture.

Foley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Phelim Foley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Foley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
