Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Gentry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicky Scarfo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scarfo gets tackled into the cage by Gentry. Gentry maintains the clinch.

Gentry wants the takedown. Scarfo is fighting it off but Gentry persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Scarfo's guard against the cage.

It looks like Kendrick Gentry has been cut.

Gentry clinches up with Scarfo and pushes him back against the cage.
Scarfo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gentry's defenses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scarfo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gentry was covering up waiting for the punch and Scarfo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Scarfo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gentry can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Scarfo controls the pace.

Gentry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Scarfo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gentry swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Scarfo loads up on a big left hand. Gentry felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Scarfo looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Gentry can't hide his disappointment, as Scarfo celebrates the victory.
