Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill Stephens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Leotardo!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stephens gets tackled into the cage by Leotardo. Leotardo maintains the clinch.
Leotardo misses with an elbow over the top.
Stephens's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


It looks like Bill Stephens has been cut.

Stephens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Phil Leotardo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stephens shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Leotardo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Stephens has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Leotardo gets a clinch.
Stephens avoiding damage.
Stephens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Leotardo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Stephens avoids it.
Leotardo misses with a knee strike.
Stephens avoids the elbow strike from Leotardo, against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stephens blocks the elbow strike.
A frustrated look appears on Stephens's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stephens dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stephens dodges an elbow strike from Leotardo.
Stephens blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Leotardo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stephens manages to break the clinch.
Stephens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Leotardo blocks a low kick nicely.
Leotardo blocks a head kick by Stephens.
Leotardo jabs at Stephens's body.
Leotardo tries to land a body kick

and Stephens counters with a takedown into side control.
Stephens in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Stephens has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Stephens drops his hands momentarily and Leotardo needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Stephens just on the top of the head. Stephens drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Stephens - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Phil Leotardo!
