PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guido Allman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Allman advances to mount.
Allman lands a big elbow.

Allman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lima can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Allman goes for an armbar but Lima turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lima.

Allman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lima's shoulder. That is not cool.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Allman decides to stand back up.
No joy there for Allman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Allman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Allman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lima's head.

Allman passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Allman has hold of Lima's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lima seems comfortable defending it but Allman has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lima is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lima is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Allman couldn't care less - he's delighted!
